An exciting opportunity exists for Dietitians to join our district's short term staff pool. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics Services to inpatients, outpatients, and staff of the NBMLHD.

Key to your success is utilising high level clinical expertise and knowledge in general clinical Dietetics in evaluating and developing the Dietetic services to inpatients and outpatients and other clients/staff to ensure regular and ongoing quality improvement activities. Dietitians attend relevant clinical and department meetings (ward rounds, case conferences, lectures, professional development sessions, staff meetings) and design and implement nutritional counselling/education programs for patients and staff as required.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia
  2. Up-to-date knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetic practice, including the inpatient acute care setting
  3. Current experience as a clinical dietitian, with post graduate experience in a hospital setting
  4. Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience and confidence within multi-disciplinary teams
  5. Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently, while managing a high paced and high volume workload
  6. High level computer skills in a wide variety of applications/programs, including experience with Diet Office/Food service IT systems
  7. Experience in nutrition related quality improvement projects focusing on improvements in clinical patient care and/or services
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
