What you'll be doing
To provide high quality, safe and comprehensive oral assessment and clinical care in a leadership role as a Senior Clinician, to Aged Care Facility Residents as well as eligible patients within fixed clinics of the Mid North Coast Local Health District, in accordance with NSW Health Policy.
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a Dental Officer/Dentist and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated exceptional competency, skills and knowledge in clinical practice including minor oral surgery and complex dental procedures with the ability to provide comprehensive treatment to a wide spectrum of patients requiring a diverse range of clinical needs, including provision of dental services under general anaesthesia, and an understanding and commitment to preventative health approach to patient care.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning skills with independent professional judgement in managing difficult clinical situations, complex medical histories and patients with disabilities.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership with the ability to provide clinical supervision, mentor and support junior clinical staff and participate in the provision of clinical development in-service education programs to staff and students.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation and advice.
- 6Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills with the ability to identify, develop and lead opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and ongoing quality improvement activities with staff.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation and presentations, and capable of planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services.
- Current unrestricted drivers licence and willingness to travel and work in various locations within the network.
