What you'll be doing 
As a Courier, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering an integrated courier, mail and transport service for WSLHD. This hands-on, dynamic position ensures the timely, safe and confidential transport of mail, goods, and clients — including Mental Health patients, accompanied by a nurse escort when required.

• Deliver mail, documents, and goods securely and promptly across WSLHD sites
• Transport clients to and from hospital appointments for Geriatric Day Hospital and Rehabilitation Services
• Safely transport Mental Health clients with clinical support, adhering to set schedules
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report incidents or delays immediately
• Maintain confidentiality, safety and compliance with all road and workplace regulations

Selection Criteria

1. Current unencumbered Class C NSW drivers license with exemplary driving record. (Recent RTA infringement record print out required)
2. Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
3. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
4. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement.
5. Experience working with the elderly and disabled
6. A level of fitness appropriate to courier duties: walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kgs over an eight hour shift
7. Previous courier experience would be an advantage
