What you'll be doing
As a Courier, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering an integrated courier, mail and transport service for WSLHD. This hands-on, dynamic position ensures the timely, safe and confidential transport of mail, goods, and clients — including Mental Health patients, accompanied by a nurse escort when required.
- Deliver mail, documents, and goods securely and promptly across WSLHD sites
- Transport clients to and from hospital appointments for Geriatric Day Hospital and Rehabilitation Services
- Safely transport Mental Health clients with clinical support, adhering to set schedules
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report incidents or delays immediately
- Maintain confidentiality, safety and compliance with all road and workplace regulations

Selection Criteria
- Current unencumbered Class C NSW drivers license with exemplary driving record. (Recent RTA infringement record print out required)
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills with the ability to maintain high quality work output while managing competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team and to promote teamwork as a basis for improvement.
- Experience working with the elderly and disabled
- A level of fitness appropriate to courier duties: walk long distances and lift, carry and move items of up to 10 kgs over an eight hour shift
- Previous courier experience would be an advantage
