About Us

Our District Contracts and Procurement team is seeking to engage a Contracts Business Manager. The successful incumbent will develop and manage a variety of contractual arrangements including, leasing arrangements, commercial agreements, tenders, and service contracts for NBMLHD.

A key focus of the role is to manage new, established and proposed contractual arrangements. This includes but not limited to, ensuring information integrity, negotiating exemptions, variations, extensions, assignments, and monitoring of supplier performance to deliver outcomes aligned with the contract management plan to achieve delivery of contractual obligations in line with MOH Directives and NBMLHD Policies and Procedures, to further enhance financial benefits to the LHD.

What you will bring to the role:

 

  1. Relevant Degree/Tertiary qualifications as relevant to the position and/or demonstrated extensive work experience in a similar role within a large and complex government contracting environment
  2. Demonstrated high level knowledge of procurement practices related to contracts, leasing, commercial agreements, tenders and service contracts in a health care environment
  3. Proven influencing and negotiation skills at a senior level working with multidisciplinary groups to achieve organisational objectives, maintain organisational strategy and ensure alignment with operational requirements
  4. Substantial numerical, problem solving and analytical skills in comparative analysis and demonstrated capability to write detailed reports and contract management plans for the sourcing of complex and diverse goods and services
  5. Capacity to work independently and in a team environment committed to service principles, probity and quality assurance in a professional and clinical health setting
  6. High level demonstrated Excel skills, Oracle or similar financial systems and HPRM or similar record management system and current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within and outside the District
  7. Demonstrated ability to design, develop and implement change management and/or streams of work including program management
  8. Demonstrated project management capabilities with ability to handle multiple Projects at the same time
