Registered Nurse: $36.38 – $51.08 per hour
Psychologist: $37.69 - $55.17 per hour

About the Opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity to join the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Team (ICAMHS) at Macarthur. ICAMHS provide services to children and young people with moderate to severe mental illness. The emphasis is upon early intervention and treatment within the community setting. The key focus of this position is to provide high quality consumer focused care coordination (case management) for consumers and their families, in conjunction with clinical interventions in line with your skills and qualifications.

Being a pool clinician is unique! You will be filling a vacancy in the Macarthur ICAMHS team; as other vacancies arise throughout our service you may be required to transfer into another position and share your skills within our service! 

Future opportunities may also present at Ingleburn, Campbelltown, Ambarvale, Bankstown, Liverpool, Bowral and Wollondilly based mental health services.

What You'll be Doing
The Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating consumers’ recovery plans. The role is also responsible for non-clinical tasks including participation in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision and participation in administrative responsibilities as required.

Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).
  2. Please provide a detailed description of your interest and motivation in applying for this role highlighting your relevant skills & experience in providing assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
  3. Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem. Outline the communication skills used and how you ensured the problem would not occur again.
  4. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
