The Opportunity

To provide expert clinical consultancy and services within a defined specialty, practicing in accordance with IB2017_002 CNC2 domains, and to demonstrate leadership in promoting contemporary nursing and midwifery practice within the Mid North Coast Local Health District.

About you

Do you hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications with at least 3 years full time experience.  Do you have demonstrated ability to work independently and also work collaboratively with clients, carers the multidisciplinary team and services across the continuum.  If so, we want to hear from you!

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.

 

  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications with at least 3 years full time experience in the relevant field.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently and also to work collaboratively with clients, carers, the multidisciplinary team and services across the continuum.
  3. Proven high level of organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet competing demands and KPIs.
  4. High level communication skills and proven ability to implement change and practice development across a multidisciplinary team using current evidence and research.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership, and experience in the provision of education to peers, clients and other service providers.
  6. Current NSW driver's license and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
