An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to join and work in a multidisciplinary team as a member of the SESLHD Safeguards Team, a dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide innovative & best practice care to children & adolescents aged 0-17 years experiencing acute mental health distress. The team is based at Kogarah and provide services across the LHD catchment area, working in partnership with existing CAMHS and youth mental health teams. The team provides rapid, mobile & flexible care, including: assertive outreach, brief care coordination & time-limited therapeutic interventions. The team responds to young people and their families who are in crisis, both in the community & in hospital-based settings through face to face, phone & telehealth appointments.
The Safeguards Community Clinician, working with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other service providers, will provide evidence-based brief therapeutic and systemic intervention. This may include individual, family, parenting and group therapy, and will require collaborative skills to work with wider systems such educational, community and non-government services.
