Where you'll be working
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.
What you'll be doing
SESLHD Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland Hospitals.
This role is responsible for the provision of high quality evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to clients of SESLHD D&A Services.

Selection Criteria
- Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to work towards same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes with people experiencing Drug and Alcohol issues.
- Capacity to design and implement short and medium term individual and group treatment protocols for a range of psychological issues associated with those attending a Drug and Alcohol facility.
- Demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills, organisational skills and time management skills.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a health setting.
- Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and research.
