Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (up to 9th January 2026)
Position Classification: Clinical Psychologist
Remuneration: $55.09 - $67.15 per hour
Hours Per Week: 32 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Cumberland Hospital, North Parramatta & Granville

What you'll be doing
Join a dynamic team supporting people with severe and complex mental illness on their recovery journey. Deliver impactful psychological care in hospital and community settings. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting clinical assessments and deliver evidence-based therapies
  • Working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Providing individual and group psychological interventions
  • Using standardised tools to guide treatment planning
  • Building strong service linkages to support holistic recovery

Essential Requirements:

Qualification: Successful completion of a PBA recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology including completion of Internship.
Registration: Current full registration with AHPRA, PBA Psychology Board of Australia

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Completion of a post-graduate degree at a Masters level or higher in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university.
  2. Full registration as a Psychologist and eligible (or working towards eligibility) for AHPRA Area of Practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
  3. Demonstrated skills and experience in working with people recovering from severe and complex mental health conditions and their families
  4. Demonstrated evidence based skills in the provision of assessment, formulation and group and individual treatment for people with diagnoses of severe and complex mental health conditions
  5. Demonstrated skills and experience in working with and supporting families and carers of consumers diagnosed with severe and complex mental health conditions
  6. Demonstrated skills in effective interpersonal communication, advocacy and negotiation
  7. Able to work as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team.
  8. Able to work autonomously as appropriate. Able to manage time well and prioritise workload.
