In this important role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the ongoing development of nursing staff within our busy and exciting Neonatal Unit. You’ll lead the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of clinical education programs, from supporting the transition of new and casual nurses to fostering the professional growth of the existing team. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, and the wider healthcare team, you’ll help design and implement education initiatives that directly enhance patient care and ensure the highest standards of practice. You’ll also provide hands-on clinical supervision, support clinical placements, and drive a culture of continuous learning, quality, and safety across the unit. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in building a skilled, confident nursing team dedicated to making a real difference in patient outcomes.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
