South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services (SESLHDMHS) are leading the way in the development and delivery of evidence based, collaborative and innovative mental health service provision. SESLHDMHS provides comprehensive mental health services within a variety of settings and facilities across the lifespan. Services are provided across within the following settings: rehabilitation, older adult, acute inpatient, acute community, community case management and peer support.

Primary function of the role is to provide professional neuropsychological services based upon sound scientific principles and practices to the clients of the Older Persons Service. 
Basic objective is to from a basis in tertiary level and post-graduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology, to provide clinical service to clients and their families and to provide consultation for colleagues in their care of clients.

Selection Criteria:

 To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Full registration with PsyBA with endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with an accredited minimum two-year full-time equivalent Masters degree or higher in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  2. Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology with the postgraduate qualifications being no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent).
  3. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Experience in neuropsychological assessment and report writing with high level of computer skills.
  5. Understanding of the MH Act and Guardianship legislation and experience working with clients with a mental disorder or neurodegenerative disorder.
  6. Experience in the assessment, development and delivery of individual and group cognitive behavioural treatments for mental illness and disorders.
  7. Current unrestricted class C drivers licence.
