The Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick Psychology Department and Rehab2 Kids team are seeking to recruit a permanent part-time Clinical Neuropsychologist, 24 hours per week. The Clinical Neuropsychologist in this position works closely with multi-disciplinary Rehab2Kids team members as well as psychology colleagues to promote optimal outcomes for patients. The Psychology Department has an established culture of collegiality, respect, reflective practice, professional supervision and support.
The successful candidate will commence in the role February 2025.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Neuropsychologist working within the Rehab2Kids team at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick is responsible for the provision of neuropsychological services to children and young people with a history of acquired brain injury.   Neuropsychological services include formal cognitive assessment, provision of psycho-education to the children, families and schools, feedback to clinical team members and preparation of a report that summarises key information obtained from the assessment process.  The Clinical Neuropsychologist works closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary Rehab2Kids team.  The Clinical Neuropsychologist will participate in peer supervision.  The Clinical Neuropsychologist is also a member of the Psychology department and will participate in psychology tasks and meetings.     
  1. Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and full endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology or eligible to progress to same.
  2. Minimum 2 year full time equivalent accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
  3. Experience in the neuropsychological assessment and management of children with a history of acquired brain injury, neurological conditions and developmental disorder.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  5. Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.

Applicants currently enrolled in a combined Masters/PhD are eligible to apply if they have completed the equivalent of Masters degree requirements as part of the PhD pathway.  Evidence of this is demonstrated by a completed PDEC-76 form and cover letter from the University confirming Masters degree requirements have been met.   

Applicants are eligible to apply if they have completed an accredited Masters degree and are awaiting their graduation ceremony. Written confirmation from the University is required.   

Successful applicants who have completed the Masters degree or Masters degree requirements and are awaiting full registration from the Psychology Board of Australia will be paid at Year 2 of the Psychologist Scale until they have full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, at which point they will commence on Year 1 of the Clinical Psychologist scale.
