About the role: 

Step into a pivotal role as Clinical Coordinator – Outpatients, where your leadership and clinical insight will help shape the delivery of patient-centred care at the Royal Newcastle Centre, John Hunter Hospital.

  • Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will coordinate access to care, review workflows and appointment data to ensure patients are seen in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Provide valuable clinical support to the NUM1 and broader nursing team, ensuring the smooth operation of daily services.

  • Liaise with clinicians to enhance care planning, manage clinical enquiries, and take the lead in escalating patient concerns with confidence and professionalism.

  • Work alongside a dedicated team of administrative, clinical, and nursing staff within the dynamic Outpatients Department, where collaboration is key and every patient matters.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with relevant post-registration qualifications and has at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in medical nursing or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW with current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
