About the Opportunity
You will be Leading a specialized unit with high standards of practice.
This role has a very high component of Cardiac Technology teaching/supervising, and will be suitable to experienced cardiac technologist/sonographers with >5 years' experience (in hospital setting preferably).
You will be managing staff that work across multiple Cardiac Physiology and Technology areas in a busy and dynamic environment, servicing patients with complex cardiac pathology.

- Post Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or equivalent and ASAR Accredited Cardiac Sonographer along with extensive recent practical experience.
- Experience or demonstrated knowledge of performing and interpreting ECG's, Exercise Stress tests and Holter Monitors, and willing to partake in training if required.
- Demonstrated experience in service development with proven ability to develop, implement and assess protocols and procedures pertaining to cardiac ultrasound.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner including effectively managing conflicts and difficult conversations when required.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor/support cardiac sonographers including provision of effective support.
- Ability to organise workload to ensure staff and equipment are utilized efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs especially powerchart eMR.
