The Role
This position will be responsible for providing district frameworks, oversight and direction to the Facility Change Coordinators to align future models of care with the vision and direction of the organisation.
This position will report to the General Manager and the Head of Capital Works it will provide guidance and advice to the onsite Facility Change Coordinators across each project, as well as be deployed to projects as required.
Where You'll be Working
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- (a) Health Manager: Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience; or (b) Nurse Manager: Registered Nurse who holds a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), with extensive clinical and senior management experience
- Demonstrated experience overseeing effective change in a health care setting, including consultation, managing operational requirements, communications and risk management
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
- Project management experience including delivery of outcomes on time and within budget
- Excellent strategic planning and policy development skills, including the ability to make complex judgements and take initiative within the delegated area
- High-level knowledge of the inter-relationship between models of care, facility development and design and departmental operational policies and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the application of Healthcare Redesign Methodology (Redesign) and the Accelerated Implementation Methodology (AIM) to health care environments, ensuring effective organisational change and the realisation of business benefits
