Due to some of our Technical Assistants moving into their professional clinical careers, our Gosford and Wyong Emergency Departments are now seeking dedicated, passionate students or experienced health professionals to join the exceptional team of Technical Assistants.

About the Role

As a Technical Assistant in our Emergency Departments, you will work collaboratively with clinicians to provide high-quality care to our patients. This role involves a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, offering flexibility with part-time, full-time, permanent, and casual positions to suit your study and life commitments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, patient care, and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the department.

About You

  • Health Profession Student or Experienced: Currently studying a registered health profession or have relevant experience in a health-related field.
  • Medical Terminology & IT Skills: Proficient in medical terminology and information technology.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curious & Eager to Learn: Naturally curious with a thirst for learning, especially in venepuncture and cannulation.
  • Team Player: Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and building key relationships.
