The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pharmacist Level 3 - Dispensary Manager to join the Pharmacy team at Gosford Hospital on a temporary full-time basis from 28 April 2025 until 1 February 2026. This leadership role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of specialist clinical pharmacy services across inpatient, outpatient, and community services. As a Dispensary Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating pharmacy services, leading a team of junior pharmacists, assistants, and technicians, and ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and efficient medication management to optimise patient outcomes.
In this role, you will provide leadership and coordination of the pharmacy services within your designated area, overseeing the delivery of clinical, operational, and workforce goals to ensure optimal performance. You will act as a clinical leader, providing mentorship and peer supervision to both junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, helping to build their knowledge and skills to enhance the capability of the pharmacy service. In addition, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating, dispensing, compounding, and checking medicines to ensure the timely and appropriate delivery of therapies that facilitate patient flow. A key component of your role will also involve the identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of continuous improvement initiatives that promote the safe, effective, and efficient use of medications. You will be an active contributor to the development of educational programs and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient-centred care.

About You
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Practicing Pharmacist, and possess a high level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge.
- You have significant experience in clinical pharmacy services relevant to the practice area, with a demonstrated high level of competence and the ability to apply clinical judgment effectively.
- You can effectively prioritise and organise your team's work and caseload to meet service delivery requirements.
- You hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence, with the ability to travel across the district and to other external sites as required.
