What you'll be doing

The Wardsperson closely monitors work practices to prevent security breaches, and works closely with staff to ensure the health and safety of all persons in the workplace.
Perform patient care activities and general assistance within ward areas under the supervision of a registered nurse and are on call to respond to requests for assistance from any department within the Broken Hill Health Service.

How to apply  
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.

  • Holds a class 1AC Security Licence.
  • Demonstrated skills to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate effective, clear and concise communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor work practices, prevent security breaches and escalate breaches to immediate Line Managers.
  • Able to demonstrate the requirements to provide and ensure the health and safety of all persons in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a resource for security issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform patient care activities and general assistance within ward areas.
