About the Role

Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond

  
Perform electrocardiograms as required, interpret results and advise physicians of any observed abnormalities in addition to assuming full responsibility for accurate recording and analysis of ECG and hemodynamic measurements during and after cardiac. Catherisation procedures and electrophysiological studies; perform interrogation of implanted cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders), interpret results and advise physicians of any observed abnormalities in both in-office and remote monitoring settings.

Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated ability to instantly recognize and document abnormal ECG and possessing or currently undertaking a Certificate of the Institute of Cardio-Pulmonary Technology or equivalent qualification appropriate to the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret cardiac device interrogation is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and performance of basic and advanced electrophysiology studies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of haemodynamics and principles of related measurements.
  • Be highly proficient in operating the monitoring and recording equipment used in cardiac catheterization procedures or be capable of acquiring such skills.

Knowledge of advanced life support is crucial for this position.
