About The Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District ‘LHD’ is one of the largest and faster growing health districts in the state, and the SWSLHD Capital Works & Infrastructure “CWI” portfolio manages:
- An active redevelopments of over $3b,
- Facilities across Liverpool, Campbelltown, Bowral, Bankstown, Camden and Fairfield Hospitals, and all community-based health facilities,
- Internal capital projects <$10m,
- Engineering, Fire and Biomedical Engineering services,
- Property & Asset management.
The Role:
- providing expert leadership, proactive advice, support, planning, and solutioning,
- being responsible for the consistent administration and operational management of all CWI activities and projects
- identification & effective management ensuring business efficiencies & opportunities are realised
- embedding consistent & accurate process, procedures and reporting,
- delivering financial efficiency, cost savings, budgeting, compliance & training for ongoing maturity development of project and process controls across all operational & project activities.
- work closely with and support the entire CWI team, facility/service managers, District and local Finance and Corporate Services, district procurement, and the broader Capital Works & Infrastructure team, etc
with a focus on:
- Process and Controls, Compliance, Governance, Probity, Assurance & Administrative
- Optimised Asset lifecycle management
- Procure-to-Pay
- Contract management, cost/budget control & forecasting, financial and non-financial reporting/management, planning, scheduling, & risk management, and
- Enhancing and maintaining client experience (internal & external) through exceptional service.

- Relevant tertiary qualification relating to either accounting or project construction management, and/or, demonstrated extensive experience in business or corporate services with high level capabilities & effectiveness across procurement, contract / project / asset management, financial and commercial acumen.
- Outline how you demonstrate high level analytical skills using financial, statistical, human resources and management data systems to pro-actively improve business performance.
- Desrribe your experience using financial accounting, budgeting, performance and management reporting systems in a large organisation.
- Provide examples of how you demonstrate your ability to communicate and engage effectively, build strong stakeholder relationships, lead high-performing teams, and manage operational functions including compliance, reporting, and planning.
- How have you developed systems and methodologies, to analyse and guide sound decision making and performance tracking/improvements, in order to foster a culture that has a service-based-philosophy?
- Outline you ability to problem solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team in an environment with minimal supervision and demonstrate exemplary ethical, professional, and personal standards.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
