Selection Criteria

  1. A degree in Biomedical Engineering from a tertiary institution recognised by and acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia.
  2. Extensive experience in the repair, maintenance and testing of electronic medical devices in clinical environments and understanding of medical device management on the IT network.
  3. Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage competing tasks in a time-critical, complex environment.
  4. Demonstrated computer literacy and high-level expertise and use of computer-based asset management systems.
  5. Demonstrated strong leadership skills with experience in team supervision, task delegation, monitoring workflow and performance and contributing to a positive work culture to achieve business objectives.
  6. Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery.
  7. Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards pertaining to medical devices.
  8. Current NSW driver's licence with willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
