Your new role:

Provision of support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assist Registered and Enrolled Nurses with patient care interventions as directed.
Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol.
We are offering permanent roles with the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas and departments. The Sutherland Hospital AIN Relief Pool offers you the opportunity for extended rotations in exciting clinical areas, supporting your professional development with clinical support. The Nurse Bank Assistant in Nursing staff are allocated across the facility to backfill temporary vacancies such as maternity and long service leave. This model differs from a casual pool model. Opportunities will be provided to move from the nurse bank to permanent positions on other units at The Sutherland Hospital as vacancies arise.
Positions in the staff bank are either Full-time or Part-time with a minimum of 2 days per week. To be eligible for a position, you must have current Australian work rights and have the ability to participate in a seven-day rotating roster. As part of the application process, you are required to upload a copy of your Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent

Established in 1958, The Sutherland Hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and community services to around 226,000 residents of the Sutherland Shire, colloquially known as ‘The Shire’. Part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and located in Caringbah, the hospital campus is close to some of Sydney’s great beaches, restaurants, bars and cafes at Cronulla and is close to the beautiful Royal National Park. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent.
