About the role:

The Assistant in Nursing is responsible for supporting the senior nursing team in direct patient care delivery.

The applicant will be supported by the Patient Flow Manager and receive orientation and training, including online modules and dedicated supernumerary time. They will also have access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities provided by HNELHD and NSW MoH.

Where you’ll be working:

Maitland Hospital is an acute facility offering a full range of acute care inpatient and outpatient services inclusive of Emergency, Intensive Care, adult inpatient, perioperative, oncology, renal, women and children services, outpatient clinics, dental, imaging and pathology services.

The Transit Unit is a designated service that provides the availability of resources to support patients who are waiting for transport for interfacility transfer for subacute admission at a peripheral facility; discharge home; transfer to an inpatient bed for acute care.
