Selection criteria to be addressed:

  1. Recently completed or working towards completion of a qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
  2. Understanding of and the capacity to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and specific organisational policies and procedures.
  3. Sound analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse data and assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements and present in a professional format with high attention to detail.
  4. Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with customers, colleagues and key stakeholders both internal and external.
  5. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team with highly developed organisational and time management skills.
  6. High level of computer literacy with competency in the use of financial systems and Microsoft Office products, in particular spreadsheet and database applications.
  7. Demonstrated ability to support other financial accounting team members as well as relevant external stakeholders to achieve organisational and departmental goals.
  8. Demonstrated ongoing commitment and contribution to the development of an improved team culture as well as actively engaging in self-development opportunities.
