Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
Join the BUMP pilot team at Blacktown Hospital for six months, supporting Allied Health to manage patients with challenging behaviours across aged care, stroke and rehab wards. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Assisting with behaviour support in acute settings
- Working under supervision of the BUMP team
- Supporting Allied Health in daily care delivery
- Helping manage routines for complex patients
- Contributing to reporting and admin tasks

Selection Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or willingness to undertake this training includes willingness to undertake additional discipline competencies. Current NSW Drivers licence
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment and ability to work as a contributing member of the health team.
- Demonstrated previous experience in working with people with challenging behaviours including aggression, agitation and confusion.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload within delegated tasks, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Ability to work within a flexible work schedule including flexible work hours and ability to work on weekends as required.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles and how it applies to the duties of the position, including manual handling risk assessment and implementation of techniques
