What you'll be doing
Coordinates after hours patient flow and patient care services throughout Mental health, Alcohol and other drugs (MHAOD) team.  This position provides leadership and direction to after hours clinical staff to enable safe, effective quality patient care and improved patient experiences.


Selection Criteria

  1. Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in the field of Mental Health Nursing Management or associated fields and/or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience in Mental Health Nursing management.
  3. Demonstrated high level capacity to manage clinical services together with the ability to utilise communication strategies including problem solving strategies, negotiation and consultant skills.
  4. Proven ability to contribute to and advance the operational/business plans for nursing services and manage the process of organisational change.
  5. Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor nursing resource allocations, FTE and workload to meet service performance requirements.
  6. Experience and ability in accessing, acquiring and utilising a sound and contemporary knowledge of professional and management issues, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  7. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015.
 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
