Selection Criteria:

 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Psychologist with a four year degree in psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
  2. Demonstrated competency in mental health rehabilitation with an ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation interventions
  3. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation, and a strengths based and recovery focused approach to service provision
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health and developmental needs of young people (14-24 years) and their families.
  5. Ability to develop partnerships and community linkages with community organisations and to build capacity within these services and within mental health services in working with young people (14-24) with a mental illness
  6. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and with a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, families and service providers
  7. Demonstrated excellent computer skills (proficient in MS Office applications & relevant health databases)
  8. Current, unrestricted NSW Driver’s licence
