About the opportunity:
This role is suitable for a dentist with clinical experience looking for a career opportunity in
leading clinical service provision in a small regional centre, including mentoring of junior
clinicians and supervision of students.
The Oral Health Service in Western NSW Local Health District has a supportive and friendly culture. The clinical team includes Dental Officers, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants and a Specialist Oral Surgeon.

Where you’ll be working
The Mudgee Community Dental Clinic is a modern 5 chair dental clinic. The position will also service other surrounding outreach locations including Rylstone.
The Mudgee Community Dental Clinic provides both urgent and comprehensive oral health care
to eligible adults and children. Treatment under general anaesthetic services is also provided at
Mudgee Health Service.

1. Highly advanced clinical skills, advanced clinical reasoning and excellent patient management skills in all aspects of general public sector dentistry, including ability to work independently as a sole practitioner.
2. Strong commitment to work in rural NSW and understanding of issues related to working in Aboriginal communities and with rural communities.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a clinic based dental team; and demonstrated history of working well as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary dental clinic team.
4. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental team environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems.
