How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Experience as a wards person or hospital assistant in a healthcare setting, or in other patient care environment, assisting and supporting the provisions of care.
  2. Demonstrated experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team environment and the ability to organize and prioritize work demands within required time frames.
  3. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/seven day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene and infection prevention and control principles.
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, patients and members of the public.
  6. Must be able to read, write and understand English effectively and relay messages as required for position.
  7. Must have high understanding of manual handling skills and demonstrated experience in this area. Sound knowledge and practical application/commitment to understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles.
