Where you'll be working:
Glen Innes Hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services tailored to meet the needs of the community. We provide emergency care, general inpatient services, maternity care, surgical procedures, and outpatient clinics. As a Wardsperson you will be assisting nursing staff as part of the Patient Support Services Team to provide high quality care that is customer focused to patients across all wards of the hospital.
About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Wardsperson to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure patient comfort and safety by transporting them between wards and assisting in their care journey. You will also help maintain a clean, welcoming environment through light cleaning duties. As a Wardsperson, you’ll be hands-on in patient care, assisting with hygiene, moving supplies, and transporting equipment throughout the hospital. About you:
- You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- You demonstrate efficacy and efficiency in multi-team environments, ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes.
- You are flexible and adaptable, easily adjusting to changing circumstances and needs
- Understanding of cleaning standards and impact of infections
- Availability to work between the hours 7am – 11pm 7 days per week
