Transitional Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner MHDA
Selection Criteria
- Endorsed by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Nurse Practitioner in MHDA with extensive post registration experience or if transitional evidence of substantial progress towards endorsement
- Extensive advanced practice experience and/or tertiary or post qualifications in MHDA
- Demonstrated advanced skills in assessment, treatment and management of all aspects of mental health and/or drug and alcohol
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage and collaborate with managers and members of multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to consult and refer patients appropriately across acute inpatient settings
- Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner
- Demonstrated ability to influence positive organisational change in particular concerning quality, safety, evidence based practice and innovation
- Unrestricted NSW Health Driver’s License
