Selection Criteria

  1. Endorsed by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Nurse Practitioner in MHDA with extensive post registration experience or if transitional evidence of substantial progress towards endorsement
  2. Extensive advanced practice experience and/or tertiary or post qualifications in MHDA
  3. Demonstrated advanced skills in assessment, treatment and management of all aspects of mental health and/or drug and alcohol
  4. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage and collaborate with managers and members of multidisciplinary teams
  5. Demonstrated ability to consult and refer patients appropriately across acute inpatient settings
  6. Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner
  7. Demonstrated ability to influence positive organisational change in particular concerning quality, safety, evidence based practice and innovation
  8. Unrestricted NSW Health Driver’s License
