Tired of big cities? Want to start your days sitting on your deck in the sun, enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the birds? Or would you rather have a surf or a walk along the beach before work?
The Hastings Macleay Clinical Network staff's emergency departments in both Port Macquarie and Kempsey. Port Macquarie ED is a regional trauma centre that sees 50,000 presentations per year, with 25 % paediatric presentations. Kempsey ED is a rural department with a high indigenous presentation rate (25%) as well as 25% paediatrics, offering a very different case mix and exposure for doctors. All the staff working in the Hastings Macleay are given shifts at both sites and we believe that this arrangement gives doctors a broader experience, with greater access to a wide range of patients and procedures. Outside of work, the Hastings Macleay is a beautiful place to live and offers the opportunity for a great work life balance.
