BMDH - Unaccredited Trainee - UROLOGY (0.5 FTE – two positions)
Manage admitted urological patients in pre-operative assessment, assist at surgical procedures and manage patients postoperatively at all sites noted under location. Manage urological patients attending outpatients at Blacktown hospital under supervision of urological consultants. This job shared role is ideally suited for individuals who wish to pursue a career in Urology. Additional to excellent clinical exposure, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to join an established research program that caters for aspiring future urology SET trainees.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical board of Australia.
- At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent). Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Urological surgery demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research.
- Demonstrated participation in the supervision of junior medical staff.
