Unaccredited Trainee - General and Acute Care Medicine

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Unaccredited Trainee in General Medicine is to provide safe and high quality care, assess and manage, under supervision, Medical patients. The trainee needs to be aware of their limitations and work in a collegiate and collaborate manner.
In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide effective medical services in the field of General Medicine to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice. This post will enable the successful candidate to gain a broad experience in inpatient and outpatient General Medicine. This post has accreditation of 12 months of core training in General Medicine.
The trainee will be expected to participate in quality improvement and peer review processes of the Department of Medicine

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completed FRACP Part 1
- Excellent theoretical knowledge and clinical judgement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team - diligence, punctuality, organization, record keeping, time management, problem solving skills, team work;
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) with patients, their families, medical and non-medical colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and expert clinical care.
- Demonstrated Commitment to ongoing Advanced Training education, research and teaching.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
