We are seeking a Trainee in Psychiatry initially based at Bathurst Hospital in a Consultation Liaison (CL) term. Bathurst Hospital provides medical (including CCU/ICU), surgical, oncology, rehabilitation, paediatrics, and maternity services to the local population. Bathurst Hospital has a well-established Emergency department MH CNC team. It also is undergoing a redevelopment. As a psychiatry trainee in the Western NSW Local Health District there are many more training terms available upon completion of this term and can be located at Bathurst Panorama Clinic, Bloomfield Hospital and community services and Dubbo Mental Health Inpatient Unit and community services.
An 18-month contract may be offered. The main purpose of the role is to ensure provision of safe and high quality clinical treatment and care services, whilst ensuring appropriate balance between clinical and training responsibilities. Must be a current trainee with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

What you'll be doing
Entry to the position is suitable for doctors who have successfully completed Stage 1 of RANZCP training for Stage 2 positions and successfully completed Stage 2 of RANZCP training for Stage 3 positions.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
