- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Must have a minimum 12 months neonatal experience within the last 18 months including at least 6 months in a tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in neonatal procedures including the ability to intubate, insert intra-arterial catheters, umbilical catheters and intravenous cannulae in neonatal patients.
- Demonstrated commitment to further education and professional development.
- Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team in a critical care environment
- Demonstrated ability to recognise a deteriorating patient after hours, prioritise management, and escalate to a senior clinician.
