About the opportunity

The Technical Specialist, BIM is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Engineering (DE) and digital information services across the HI Capital Program. The role manages technical standards in Health Infrastructure contract documents and frameworks and works with project teams to maximise their adoption. This role then assures that Capital Project BIM/DE and information deliverables meet the technical standards defined in contractual documents and relevant frameworks. The Technical Specialist, BIM provides subject matter expertise to Capital Projects to enable adoption of leading Digital Engineering practices that enhance data quality improve the quality of project information outcomes.

There are two positions available, which are permanent ongoing. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidates.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months. 

About you

You’re an experienced BIM/DE specialist who understands how BIM requirements support better project outcomes. Making a positive impact of capital projects gives you a sense of accomplishment. Your experience and familiarity with BIM/DE software will help you hit the ground running. You work well as part of a technical team and can deal with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
