  1. Advanced Diploma in Electronics, Bachelors Degree in Engineering ( recognized by Engineers Australia OR equivalent)
  2. Ability to assess priorities and manage competing tasks in a time critical environment
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery
  4. Demonstrated ability to fault find and repair clinical equipment to component level.
  5. Have an understanding of the relevant Australian standards and how they apply to medical equipment in a Hospital environment.
  6. Ability to utilise computer software & database applications and computerized maintenance management system CMMS.
  7. Possess good written and oral skills in English and have the ability to effectively liaise with nursing, medical and administrative staff.
  8. Ability to ensure their own and co-workers safety by adopting safe working practices and compliance with WH&S policies and procedures whilst working as part of a team and also with minimal supervision.
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
