  1. Science Degree or college of advanced education requiring a minimum of three years full-time study, with subjects including molecular biology and genetics.
  2. Laboratory experience in molecular genetics or molecular biology.
  3. Experience in PCR techniques and design.
  4. Experience in fragment analysis, DNA sequence analysis and interpretation.
  5. Experience in a diagnostic laboratory and familiarity with National Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) requirements for development and use of in-house in-vitro diagnostic medical devices, National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation for compliance with the International Standard ISO15189 is desirable.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skill.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
