- Demonstrated understanding of WHS and infection control principles and how these pertain to the sterilisation service
- Currently holds or is willing to complete a Sterilisation Certificate within 2 years of appointment and/or recent experience working in a Central Sterilising Supply Unit or Health Care Setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, operating independently within role delineation.
- Sound attention to detail to ensure accuracy to meet required standard of the Sterilising Department.
- Basic computer literacy including the use of email, internet, intranet and word processing.
- Ability to produce accurate, legible written documentation.
- Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays
