  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications with subsequent relevant experience in a clinical research environment

  2. Significant applied experience in the performance of start-up tasks for clinical research for commercially-sponsored clinical trials including budget development/negotiation, essential document preparation/management and the submission of ethics and governance applications

  3. Sound understanding of regulatory and ethical guidelines relevant to the conduct of clinical research

  4. Demonstrated ability to exercise leadership, autonomy and initiative in relation to day-to-day problem solving, communication and decision making

  5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in liaising with a variety of stakeholders/audiences

  6. Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in line with key performance indicators as well as program deliverables.

  7. Ability to work both independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and take a consultative approach to ensure delivery of complex tasks to meet pre-defined time, budget and quality targets.

  8. Strong computer skills and willingness to utilise existing and new systems for clinical trials project management and data management including reporting.
