Sonographer / Radiographer
An opportunity exists for a qualified Sonographer to join an experienced and motivated team within a tertiary referral hospital; ability to work fair rotation of general radiology shifts, including rostered shifts within other modalities (including theatres and fluoroscopy), weekends, afternoon and night shifts and a rotation of on-call is essential. Previous experience within a public hospital, including experience in general abdominal, obstetric and gynae, pelvis, renal, small parts, and emergency imaging is essential.

What you'll be doing
This role is responsible for the performance of complex clinical procedures within the specialist modality (Ultrasound) with a high degree of competency and associated tasks, i ncluding day-to- day management of patient care, patient scheduling as well as training of sonographers and student sonographers this all in a quality framework.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, with the MRPB of Australia and hold a current NSW EPA I-14 Radiation Licence. Or ASAR accredited Medical Sonographer with a post graduate degree in Sonography, or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
- Demonstrated experience in the performance and delivery of high quality ultrasound examinations and the ability to perform routine to complex clinical procedures within specialist modality, with a high degree of competency, under pressure and time constrains.
- Proven knowledge of the majority of current ultrasound examinations, ability to teach, supervise and evaluate performance.
- Ability to rotate between other modalities to maintain WH&S considerations in relation to extended ultrasound, when required.
