What you'll be doing
The Sonographer provided quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focussed services to the patients, clients and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD.  




Selection Criteria

  1. Post-graduate qualifications in ultrasound with current Registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as a Sonographer.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  3. Ability to provide a full range of general ultrasound exams, including experience in MSK, obstetrics and interventional imaging.
  4. Ability to work within a team, and allocate workloads according to skills and competencies, and to participate in the department roster including on-call as required.
  5. Ability to interpret request information, select the optimal protocol and adapt the protocol to a range of clinical scenarios.
  6. Evidence of ongoing personal CPD, and contribution to supervision or development of others.
  7. Experience applying legislation, regulations, policies and procedures to medical imaging and the day-to-day operation of an imaging modality to ensure sustainable, on-going service provision.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
