Are you a senior Social Worker with experience in Mental Health and want to positively impact on the lives of Mental Health consumers on their journey to recovery working with skilled and innovative clinicians in a multidisciplinary team? This is a fantastic opportunity to step up and obtain valuable experience in this temporary leave-relief role.
To provide Social Work Services with high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge to clients of the Eastern Suburbs Inpatient Mental Health Service, their families and carers; to provide leadership for social work services; to participate in the planning and coordination of services for people with mental health problems; and to liaise with other services to develop partnerships of care.

If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.

Selection criteria:
- Hold as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Demonstrated excellent high level skills and experience in working as a social worker.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with clients to enhance service delivery.
- Ability to provide social work leadership in a multidisciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement.
- Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation and recovery focus.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
