Social Worker Level 3

1. Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and Being female is a genuine occupational qualification for this position as described under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
2. Recent experience in the provision of clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills, as well as counselling, group and family work, including the areas of domestic violence, post natal depression, child protection issues, low risk suicide and an understanding of normal development and the significant variability’s of childhood development
3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision. Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report on services, including identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice across psychosocial and multidisciplinary service delivery
4. Experience in providing clinical supervision, consultation and demonstrated ability to apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks
5. Experience working with people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, those who are culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and/ or come from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds. High level of cultural competence
6. Practise within a Primary Health Care framework, including building effective partnerships with other relevant government, non-government and community organisations
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, time management, and computer skills
8. Current NSW State drivers Licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD
