Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
An opportunity has now become available for a Level 3 Physiotherapist to join the NBMLHD team, located at Nepean Hospital. This position on offer is a Permanent Part time position at 16.5 hours.
This role works Saturday and Sunday each week in the Nepean ICU. As weekend senior the role oversees the team of L1-2 Physiotherapists and AHA's in work allocation & prioritisation with the goal of the highest quality care to our clients.

What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
- Substantial postgraduate clinical experience and demonstrated high level of knowledge, skills and clinical experience in intensive care, and across a broad range of Physiotherapy clinical areas.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a physiotherapy team, and effectively work in a multidisciplinary team with substantial experience in Physiotherapy staff orientation, workload prioritisation/distribution, supervision, and performance development.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice to service managers on Physiotherapy WH&S, clinical service development, practice and design in response to demands and client / stakeholder needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice.
