Sleep Services - Sleep Technologist - Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick





Where you will be working

The Prince of Wales Hospital is a 440-bed major public teaching hospital located in Sydney's eastern suburb of Randwick, providing a full range of hospital services to the people of New South Wales, Australia. The hospital has strong ties to the University of New South Wales.

Sleep Unit 

The Role

The sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the Sleep Unit Manager and the Sleep Scientist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in-lab and home polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. The sleep technologist is qualified in sleep technology and is able to provide assistance to other lab staff.

  1. Demonstrated Sleep Medicine experience
  2. Demonstrated ability to set up and perform lab and portable polysomnography
  3. Demonstrated basic knowledge of respiratory/sleep disorders physiology
  4. Experience in the use of sleep study software
  5. Ability to work in a team environment
  6. Proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc)
  7. Current First Aid Certificate or working towards obtaining.
  8. Ability to work solely evening and/or overnight shifts.
