The successful candidate will provide high quality sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment service to patients and carers of the Nepean Hospital Sleep Disorder and Respiratory Failure Service and sleep laboratory. A Sleep Scientist should possess knowledge in the procedures, methodology and theory of physiology, sleep study testing, scoring/reporting, and quality assurance.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science and demonstrated experience working within the field of Sleep Medicine.
- Experience working as a Sleep Technician performing sleep study setup, computerised sleep monitoring, and PAP titration of patients overnight.
- Understanding of ASSM scoring guidelines, ability to follow centre specific scoring guidelines.
- Competent use of Compumedics, Somnotech, Nox and/or Embla computerised systems for polysomnographic sleep studies.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment with a commitment to the principles and strategies of quality improvement.
- Available to work morning and/or evening and/or night shifts when requested and flexibility and willingness to cover other available shifts.
- Well-developed Windows-based computer experience in word processing, spread sheet and database usage.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and with other team members and as part of a multidisciplinary team, Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills.
