Sexual Health Promotion Officer (Identified) - Population Health, Lemongrove

Selection criteria to be addressed:

1. This is an Aboriginal identified position. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal community. Exemption is claimed under section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
2. Relevant qualifications in health promotion public health, Health, Education or related discipline or experience in the sexual health promotion field.
3. Detailed/sound knowledge of individual and social impacts of HIV, STIs and viral Hepatitis and a sensitivity to work closely with priority population groups, specifically in regard to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.
4. Demonstrated ability to design, develop, implement and evaluate, education and health promotion activities and projects.
5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and also ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver agreed outcomes within established timeframes.
7. Experience working in sexual health, blood borne viruses, and/or youth health promotion activities and projects.
8. Demonstrated experience in identifying, negotiating, building and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders including government, non-government and community based organisations.
