The Role

Your role will be to manage the business of research activities within the Haematology Clinical Trials Unit by undertaking a range of co-ordinating and management functions e.g. budget/finance management, document management, advice to team members etc.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health / science background or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience and evidence of further education/continuous professional development.
  2. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of and experience in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007); and other relevant Commonwealth and State legislation, regulations and guidelines related to the regulation of research involving humans, together with sound knowledge of HREC and Governance review processes in NSW, QLD , SA and VIC with a successful history of preparing HREC applications for new clinical trials as well as Site Specific Applications to local Governance.
  3. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills (including negotiation, report writing, etc) with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships including those with senior management and other key stakeholders.
  4. Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  5. Sound knowledge of Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Note for Guidance on Good Clinical Practice and relevant privacy legislation and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007).
  6. Experience in a high-volume clinical trials unit requiring time management skills and ability to prioritise high volume workload.
  7. High level skills and familiarity with PC based systems e.g. MS Office
  8. Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise functions and a conscientious and methodical approach with attention to detail. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
